Drove out Tsawwassen way to visit good friends and review the ‘Bed and Breakfast’ that they own; what a delightful find. Mike and Margreet Preston have graciously been tending to your needs for about seven years and thoroughly enjoy the company. Located in downtown Tsawwassen at 5486- 14B Avenue, the B and B is very well attended to with beautiful side gardens to enjoy and view. The home has a separate entrance for the (2) suites that can be private or joined for a larger group, each suite is self contained with an en suite, bedroom and living area. A small galley kitchen can supprt a meal. There is ample parking in the side yard for your vehicle or bicycles if you decide to arrive on two wheels.
The surrounding area is resonably flat and good for cycling through the community’s many trails. A short distance away is the Boundary Bay or Georgia Straight destination with trails or the Reifel bird sanctuary in Ladner, that is very interesting. Point Roberts, U.S.A. is just a short hop down the road but you must have a passport to enter.
For couples who want to get an early start on their game and enjoy the B&B experience there are golf courses in Point Roberts, a public course in Tsawwassen and two(2) more in Ladner. All very challenging.
After the cycling tour, the golf game or the hike there is ample shopping at Thrift’s and Safeway.
If you prefer to dine out for the occassion Tsawassen affords a Greek restaurant, Italian, Mario’s; a sushi bar, a Chinese restaurant and a good old stand by, White Spot. There should be something in that list to satisfy most appetites.
The British columbia Ferries terminal is just seven(7) minutes away by car, allow more time if you are travelling by bicycle.
There is a long term car park North side of the high way en route to the ferries if you want to continue onto the ferry by cycle.
The beauty of it is check in time is 3p.m.; check out is 11a.m. but it is not a strick rule.
Enjoy as we do.
