The racers are stretching, their running shoes are in the blocs awaiting the starter’s signal. Music stirs the anxious crowd of participants to a fevered pitch of excitement. The tension is high, the crowd is big… who will win?
They all will, all will be better for their efforts, better health, rosier cheeks and new friendships. All running mates.
Left, right; right,left definitely shoulder to shoulder as they pound the pavement, shortening the distance as they near the end.
The race has been run and spirit has won.
