The Wharf
The Wharf on a Monday night with , “The Whitchata Trip”.
Yippee yay kai yae, get along little doggie.
There’s a guitfiddle to my right and a base guitar to the left.
There’s tune from the middle by a song bird with a flat sombrero,
while the drummer keeps the beat in the background steady on. It’s a great Monday night at the wharf, good crowd and lively music. The Whitchata Trip is just one sampling of the summer evening musical entertainment in Maple Ridge.
Maple Ridge Concert Band
A warn early summer night in July celebrating, “Twilight Tuesday” with the Maple Ridge Concert Band players is a distinct and delightful event; with a repetoire of rousing ‘Sousa’ marches to cacophonous Circus oompapah, the concert band plays on delighting the audience with each performance. Bring a folding chair and a coffee, relax for an evening interlude of old fashioned entertainment in the park.
The Bruce James Orchestra
Mellow out, mellow in; sit back and enjoy the ‘swing’ with Bruce James Singers, dancers and a variety of old favorites galore. Request can be submitted and are graciously accepted The dancers are energetic and lively; audience participation is encouraged. Bring a coffee.
Buddy and The Good Guy
A delightful diversion on a Wednesday night as a substitute for the touring ‘Bruce James’ group.
We enjoyed their presentation about, “Spike Jones” classics as someone played the washboard.
All in all a good band and an enjoyable evening at ‘Spirit Park’, on Harris road in Pitt Meadows.
