Halloweeen

There’s a small blip in time, not much, starting right after school is back in session.  The blip grows to a low hum, the talking begins as ideas are born.  Eventually the ideas build to a roar and travel as a storm.  Halloween is just around the corner.

Through out the neighbourhoods of the land kids begin dreaming of what they will be for Halloween.  Toddlers usually tell Mom what they want to be; which usually turns out to be a cute little costume that is adored by family, grandparents and neighbours.

Halloween becomes more difficult the older the tricksters are.  Costumes need to be unique, scary and original.  Girls and boys vary on which requirement is most essential for success.  There is no limit to the excitement or boldness to the exaggerated ideas that formulate in their imagination.

Young girls want to be fairy princesses, fairies, butterflies or cute bunnies.  Boys on the other hand have ideas of super heroes, animated characters and scary monsters.  Many children settle for an old bed sheet with eye holes cut in and go out as ghosts.

However they turn out I hope they have fun on Halloween.

About whoelmo

cartoonist, reviewer John McDonald- Founding member of the 'Snap Cap Boys', I am also an adventerous bicycle tourist, I visit and review "Bed and Breakfasts". Accompanied by my wife we have toured and visited many locale and enjoyed the pleasant surroundings and hospitality of various "Bed and Breakfast" establishments. The long hours and dusty trails of bicycle travel cultivated many philosophical thoughts and some of these I allow to materialize, which I express in graphic form as "The Blooms"(c). These missives surely add to the entertainment value along with the advice within the "B&B" review. It is my desired wish that you will gain value from this review for your "B&B" experience.
