Roman Holiday-Padua

Once again, a short train ride and no car to park or lose.  Upon arrival take the public transit to the city centre and enjoy the openness of the plaza.  Food fairs, scooter displays, a children’s bicycle-traffic training course, a carousel and a canal grace the city bustling hub.

The city of Padua has an abundance of architectural styles and may more churches and cathedrals.  Most interesting is the chapel containing Giotto’s, the noted medieval painter, tomb.  A grand university that can boast of the first woman graduate.  Many market squares entertained our hours meandering the city streets.  It was refreshing to people watch and be met with friendly happy smiles.

“granville, I think you should buy some Italian leather spats… but if I buy another purse, I’ll be a carrier pigeon.”

About whoelmo

cartoonist, reviewer John McDonald- Founding member of the 'Snap Cap Boys', I am also an adventerous bicycle tourist, I visit and review "Bed and Breakfasts". Accompanied by my wife we have toured and visited many locale and enjoyed the pleasant surroundings and hospitality of various "Bed and Breakfast" establishments. The long hours and dusty trails of bicycle travel cultivated many philosophical thoughts and some of these I allow to materialize, which I express in graphic form as "The Blooms"(c). These missives surely add to the entertainment value along with the advice within the "B&B" review. It is my desired wish that you will gain value from this review for your "B&B" experience.
