Iberian Holiday-Benalmadena Centro,Spain

The #103 Bus

Onboard the #103 bus we climbed the steep, narrow and twisting streets to Benalmadena centro.  The area is well populated and home to private houses, hotels and apartments.  This is not a good bicycle paper route but many scooters scream pasts, some with passenger.  Wandering about we have a chat with some nice people from the ‘land of Oz’ as they referred to Australia.  We threatened to go there and set up a tent on their front lawn.  A short while later we catch a glimpse of our British maidens and join them at their table for a few laughs as they finish their lunch.  It is a joy to meet fun people.

Later with shopping bags full we board a bus to descend to the beach ‘Promenade’ to stroll and partake in some tapas.   Our favorite bar is open and we install ourselves for an afternoon repas and some lively piano music to rest our weary feet with.  We enjoy the stroll down the promenade with all of its sights of children playing on the beach, fishermen casting against the waves and seabirds dancing on the breeze.

“Bring the good times on.”

About whoelmo

cartoonist, reviewer John McDonald- Founding member of the 'Snap Cap Boys', I am also an adventerous bicycle tourist, I visit and review "Bed and Breakfasts". Accompanied by my wife we have toured and visited many locale and enjoyed the pleasant surroundings and hospitality of various "Bed and Breakfast" establishments. The long hours and dusty trails of bicycle travel cultivated many philosophical thoughts and some of these I allow to materialize, which I express in graphic form as "The Blooms"(c). These missives surely add to the entertainment value along with the advice within the "B&B" review. It is my desired wish that you will gain value from this review for your "B&B" experience.
