The Wonder of it All
Thinking about that old homily;
“Spring has sprung,
the grass has riz.
I wonder where my … is?”.
Well that … turns out to be my colour palette and I must go and find it. My palette comes in neat little packages with pretty colours included. With a trowel, finger or a stick I lay open the ground work ready for the colour. After I have deposited some colour I proceed to tamp them in so they stay in place .
Reaching for my aquatic blending hose I begin to spread the beginnings of colour across my canvass. Lots of water to start the daffodils as they are yellow and come in bunches. A little daub of red to blend with the yellow for the ones with orange centres and they too will bow their shy heads with beauty.
More red for the tulips to poke their heads out and brave the brisk winds, a little purple and yellow into that patch over there. Save some purple for Hyacinth and she will develop into a graceful beauty. The long lasting and colourful winter pansies and primroses will lend their passion to the mix. What a glorious sight!
