Summer time Music-Nanaimo

What a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, evening or lunchtime. Listening to lively music performed so robustly and with such talent; it regenerates the soul.

The Friday lunch hour concerts performed outdoors in the O C Q and at the old train station were of special delight as we included our daily exercise travelling to and fro on our bicycles. Luncheoning out or picnicing in the park added to the Friday idyll.

Mafeo-Sutton park played host to a weekend of Blues music and we attended the Sunday performance of the Big Band. On reflection we wished we would have attended all three days.

The conclusion to all this fine entertainment came as we attended the Disney Digs D’Jazz at the Port Place theater. Andrew Homzy led the jazz band as they played music from Disney movies. The performance was uplifting and wonderfully entertaining. Thanks to all.

About whoelmo

cartoonist, reviewer John McDonald- Founding member of the 'Snap Cap Boys', I am also an adventerous bicycle tourist, I visit and review "Bed and Breakfasts". Accompanied by my wife we have toured and visited many locale and enjoyed the pleasant surroundings and hospitality of various "Bed and Breakfast" establishments. The long hours and dusty trails of bicycle travel cultivated many philosophical thoughts and some of these I allow to materialize, which I express in graphic form as "The Blooms"(c). These missives surely add to the entertainment value along with the advice within the "B&B" review. It is my desired wish that you will gain value from this review for your "B&B" experience.
