John McDonald- Nestled high above the mid Vancouver Island city, John McDonald and wife Bridgit, reside in their own personal aerie.  They overlook the beautiful ‘Riviera’ like harbour scene festooned with beautiful white sailed boats.

John and co-host “Johnny Chinook”(c), labour away at the drawing board, the kitchen table to create the magic.  The elixir flows from the end of a pencil to create characters that reach out from the page and usher you into their world.  The art work is beautiful and the stories imaginative, casting the spell for this magical world.  “Johnny Chinook”(c) reaps the benefit and wishes you pleasure and entertainment.

The pseudonym, nom de plume, “Johnny Chinook”(c) originated from a long ago race horse whose winnings supported and nourished John through a difficult financial crisis.  Vowing never to forget his benefactor John honours the horse by using the name.
